A briefing event on artificial intelligence tools and their application areas was held at the Trakya University Social Sciences Institute with the participation of Prof. Dr. Veysel Bozkurt from Istanbul University.
The event, chaired by Institute Director Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Levent Doğan, took place at the Institute building and was attended by Trakya University Vice Secretary General and Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali İhsan Meşe, Deputy Coordinator of the Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Coordination Office and Rector’s Advisor Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Cem Taşkın, Institute Deputy Directors Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Müge Atakan and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Tolga Dillioğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sedef Zeyrekli Yaş, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi İrem Çetinkaya, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Elvin Dinler Kısaçtutan, doctoral students Ceyda Erdin and Adjera Alitoska Kazaz, as well as academic staff and graduate students.
In a friendly environment, Prof. Dr. Veysel Bozkurt provided an overview of the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence tools in various fields, including their place in academic work, application areas, and potential impacts in social sciences. Bozkurt shared information about current AI applications that can be useful, particularly in research processes, raising participants’ awareness of the subject.
After the information sharing session, participants asked Prof. Dr. Bozkurt questions about artificial intelligence. During the Q&A, discussions focused on how AI can be used more effectively in academic work.
